Naboth Kwilyame is one of Flexi Konnect's verified entrepreneurs and the founder of Thermobag, a refugee-led social enterprise in Uganda developing innovative heat-retention cooking technology that helps households reduce charcoal, firewood, and gas consumption. By using retained heat to continue cooking food without additional fuel, Thermobag lowers household energy costs, improves health by reducing indoor air pollution, and promotes environmental conservation.
The innovation contributes to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including No Poverty (SDG 1), Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12), and Climate Action (SDG 13). Naboth has been selected to participate in the 2026 Flexi Konnect E-Pitch Challenge, where he will pitch Thermobag to investors, partners, and potential customers while competing for seed capital.
As a verified entrepreneur on the Flexi Link Platform, Thermobag will also be featured on the Flexi Konnect Digital Marketplace, expanding its visibility and helping the business reach new customers and markets across Uganda and beyond.
